A project is executed by people. These people depend upon each other. That is why a good collaboration is needed to obtain good results. But how can you manage the collaboration?
In order to improve something, you need to know the current state. Many things are important in the collaboration and based upon literature and experience, testing and improving, we have developed the ‘perceptionmeter’. The perceptionmeter measures how client and contractor perceive important issues in their collaboration.
Thus, the perceptionmeter gives insight on how the collaboration is within the project. This insight is based on the reactions that team members of client and contractor give to a questionnaire. These reactions together make up a report with marks that form the basis for a discussion on how the collaboration can and should be improved.
When you register below you will receive a personal account. Within this account you can register your project and start the measurement. You invite team members from your own organization but also from your partner in the project. They will receive an invitation through e-mail. You can register multiple projects that are all displayed in one simple dashboard.
When the deadline has passed for everyone to react the results are calculated based upon these reactions. These results are presented to you in a clear overview with explanation. You can export or print this overview and take it with you in the meeting.
Eventually, the discussion of the results is the most important part of the process. Within the meeting both client and contractor should be given the room to provide an explanation for the results and to ask questions. Within the discussion you should also look forward: how can we improve? How can we facilitate each other?
Within one project you can apply the perceptionmeter multiple times in order to see the progress in the project with regard to the collaboration. As such you see what has improved, what still needs to be discussed and where you need to spend some extra attention. Dependent upon the type of project you may need a measurement every 3 to 6 months.
You can buy single applications of the perceptionmeter, but it is also possible to buy a package. The last option is more economical. Although we advise to measure every three months, you may use your package for unlimited time within the project. And we keep it simple! There are no additional cost for accounts for team members or for the number of people that you invite for the measurement.
